Two Four Hour In Person CEU Classes

  • Total Cost: For Both Classes $150 (Note: Individual Classes may be taken at $85 Each Class)

  • CEU Hours: Total 8 Hours (4 Hours Each)

Class 1: Stretching Solutions for Mobility and Pain Reduction 

Description:
This class focuses on five specific stretches that will help to increase mobility, improve range of motion, and reduce pain for a client. We begin with exploring background of and advantages of stretching. Then, we move into learning about differential assessments to identify which stretch will be most beneficial for the given symptoms, demonstrating the five stretches, and actively practicing how to perform the stretches during a massage session.
Learning Outcomes:
Students will demonstrate how to address the needs of their client through the application of specific stretches to address specific muscles and regions of the body. By demonstrating the given stretches, the client may enjoy quicker and longer lasting mobility and pain relief and the therapist/student may be able to achieve their client goals quickly and efficiently.

Time: 9:00am – 1:00pm

Cost: $85  (Note: If taken in conjunction with second Class $75)

Class 2: Somatic Psychology – Client Connections and Communication

Description:This class is dedicated to the mind/body relationship and dynamics of the client/therapist relationship. We begin with exploring massage therapy’s mental/emotional effects. Then, we move into demonstrating how to use effective communication and conflict resolution skills, and appropriately react to a client’s emotional response to bodywork.

Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion, the student will be able to define and demonstrate the interpersonal components of a therapeutic environment. Use effective verbal and non-verbal communication in the therapist-client relationship. Define and demonstrate active listening, Define and Demonstrate rapport with the client.

Time: 2:00pm – 6:00pm
